Florida Flag Picture

Orlando is fun for kids all ages. Fun entertainment is offered on a gargantuan scale unrivalled by anywhere else, making Florida the most visited destination by the UK. Just look at the list of parks to visit for starters! Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, Epcot Centre, Disney MGM and Animal Kingdom; There's also Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Wet 'n' Wild, Sea World, Blizzard Beach, Fantasy Island, Medieval Times, Arabian Knights, Gator Land and many, many, more; The hardest choice is deciding!

What about a beach, many ask? For some, the parks can be exhausting fun and for those who want to relax by the sea, how better than a world class beach such as Clearwater on the Gulf coast. You should really plan this into your schedule as it takes under two hours to get there by car. The sea here is as the name suggest, the beach is like new, its broad and miles long so is seldom busy. Be careful though, enduring the rays here can be less forgiving a day later if you have too much fun.

Alternatively, there are water sport lakes nearby where you can try out at jet skiing or knee boarding. Places that offer helicopter rides over International drive, everglades and other attractions. And, if you are in a lively group of adults, there is also a vast selection of nightlife where you can wine, dine, and enjoy a show at the same time. Downtown Orlando is one specialised area for this; Boardwalk, Old Town and venues like Medieval Times are others offering similar arrays of entertainment.

And if you are a shopaholic.. then you've come to the right place also. Levis, trainers and electrical goods have always offered great value for your dollar, at prices often much less than in the UK. For everyday goods there is a long list of stores, malls and outlets you can visit, such as Beltz, Wall-Mart, Target, Orlando International Mall, Best Buy & World of Denim. If it's your first time to Disney we strongly recommend you buy a World Hopper Pass. This allows you unrestricted park access and often additional one or two days entry to Disney's water parks. This way, you can mix and match parks in any one day, for your party around planned shows and events. Be sure not to miss the parades and night firework displays at parks like Epcot. Some prefer a 20-min drive back to your villa before returning for the evening as there is no cost for leaving and re-entering.
