Zeus Gardens 1, Kato Paphos. Cyprus: Zeus Gardens is a small development of 19 houses built around a beautiful and secluded swimming pool and situated in a quiet residential area of Kato Paphos only 10-15 minutes walk from the harbour, beach, shops, bars and restaurants. There is a local shop and cafe only a minute's walk round the corner.
The development is of a high standard and contemporary Mediterranean design. The house is luxuriously fitted and equipped to a very high standard with everything needed for a party of 6 from washing machine, microwave and fridge freezer to cafeteria, hairdryer, beach towels, cool bag, picnic ware, games, books and buckets & spades! Ceiling fans are fitted throughout with optional air-conditioning available in the bedrooms if required for the hotter months (these can also provide heat during the cooler months).
Downstairs there is a bright open-plan living/dining room/kitchen. Double patio doors lead out onto a large terrace overlooking the pool, with table and chairs to seat 6. Around the house there is a small garden area with flowers, shrubs and fruit trees. The kitchen is fitted with luxury oven, ceramic hob, extractor, washing machine, fridge freezer, breakfast bar and microwave. The lounge has seating for 8 with a large double sofa bed and the dining area seats 6. There is also a downstairs toilet/cloakroom.
Leading upstairs is a marble staircase with decorative cast iron railings. Upstairs there is a good sized bathroom with bath and powerful shower, 2 large bedrooms - one with double bed and one with 2 twins. Both have walk-out balconies complete with table and chairs for relaxing in the day or evening and ample storage for clothes and possessions.
Paphos itself is one of the most popular resorts in Cyprus with its pleasant mix of new and old. It is steeped in history and culture with legends dating back thousands of years, so much so that UNESCO has added the whole town to its World Cultural Heritage list. There is also a charming fishing harbour overlooked by the Mediaeval Fort, blue flag beach, shops, numerous excellent restaurants of every variety, bars, tavernas and cafes. There is a colourful market and bazaar and a huge selection of trips available. Things to do include boat trips, jeep safaris, diving, snorkelling, go-carting and an excellent water park. The Tombs of the Kings along with the mosaics and numerous museums are a must to visit.
